how was the election for you?

my family and i went to the precint at 8am. the lines were already long and there were only 3 rooms that will accommodate all of the voters in our area. generally the flow was orderly except for the usual incidents of people trying to cut lines. there were also a lot of senior citizens voting which made things kind of slower since they no longer needed to line up and were allowed to vote first.

i wonder why they don't arrest the people handing out flyers of candidates and sample ballots when clearly it is against the law. plus, they are adding trash in the area. i do hope that in the next election they will penalize candidates who have people distributing campaign paraphernalia near the precints and who put up materials where they are not supposed to (like electric posts/wires, etc).

(taken while waiting for our turn to vote. it is best to take a bath after and not before going there so you don't waste water :) )
