last wednesday, i had to bring the car to work since me and my sister (tin) were going to pick-up kat after school at around 8pm. i wasn't really feeling well the whole day but i decided to stay at work. i keep sneezing the whole day and had to take some time-off to take a nap because i couldn't work with all the "distractions".
at around 530pm, tin texted me that she would be staying until 730pm because she had stuff to finish and told me to just go ahead and pick-up kat. i told her, we could leave at 730pm and still reach kat by 8pm. she told me she wasn't sure if she would be finished by 730pm, so i should just go.
i went to LKG to get the car and drive to taft. it was drizzling by the time i drove off the building, my eyes started getting teary from the colds and from the aircon.
i don't know what happened but i found myself going against the traffic at Dela Rosa Street! within 5 seconds a man in yellow uniform was already signaling to me and walking towards my car. so much for a getaway with 4 cars blocking your way. i was hoping to use my "beautiful eyes" and "manong-im-so-helpless-im-lost" routine but decide against it. i was not prepared plus my runny nose was really bothering me and i kept squinting because of my colds.
so here i am again. without a license and with a ticket. good thing manong was kind enough not to charge me with counterflow. he only checked the "not following the signs" item. i don't have to attend any seminar. the only problem is that i have to go to the munisipyo and pay Php500 to claim my license.
money down the drain. and to think i was planning on shopping this weekend. maybe next sweldo day. . .
