got back from WAVE (Work Attitude and Values Enhancement) seminar at Pampanga last saturday. super tiring.
first off...bakit nga ba ako pinadala dun? lyn, sam and i were joking that we were probably sent there because we lacked work attitude and values. hehe. sabi ko na nga ba at balang araw, aabutan din ako ng aking pagkatamad. hehe. ikaw ba naman ang pinakamadalas ma-late. hehe. text nga ng text yun ka-opisina ko kung umabot ako sa bus e. haha. sowri. sakto ang dating ko. wehehe. :p i guess i passed the first test.

bloopers:
2nd day: breakfast ... first to arrive sa lounge. hehe. basta kainan, hindi talaga mauunahan.
lyn: (to waiter) anong breakfast?
waiter: itlog po.
me: itlog lang?! (with matching panlalaki ng mata!)
waiter: hindi po with tocino/longganisa
me: ah...
lyn: anong kasama nun?
waiter: wala po
sam: walang rice?
waiter: meron po
lyn: garlic rice?
waiter: hindi po
lyn: plain/steamed rice?
waiter: hindi po
lyn: ah e, ano?
waiter: garlic rice po
(at this point, napapakamot na lang ako ng ulo while trying to suppress my laugh. sam can't help but giggle)
after a few minutes, the waiter serves us our meal...
lyn: asan dito ang longganisa?
(we were served a choice of tapsilog or corned beef silog)

aside from the humorous conversations with the waiters, one cannot help but be amused by the exotic food offerings of the resort. we concluded that they believed in hinduism (please correct me if im wrong) because of the food reincarnation.
one dinner, our dessert consisted of singkamas pastillas which the waiters dare not taste nor touch at the least. personally, i think it tasted like chalk. at least we were able to bond with "competitors" and discuss theories on what we were really digesting.
during one merienda break, people were eagerly lining up to get a slice of what looked like a delicious pie of some sort. i can't help but laugh looking at the faces of the people after taking a bite. after numerous interviews of people who ate the pie, we have agreed that it probably is tamarind pie because most of them said it tasted like tamarind. but after seeking out management, we found out it was rasberry cinnamon pie. whatever!
good thing i never really liked tasting stuff that didn't look presentable at the least.

the buzz!
its funny how drunk people can resort to wacky antics just to entertain themselves. we had this talkshow session complete with kris, boy and even joebert! funny funny! learned a lot of things about different people.
truly one of the best seminars i attended.
boo...forgot to bring my camera. so no pictures to post. i'll try to get some from the other people.
