freaky friday

i hate it when my plans get all mixed up. i always liked things to be in an orderly manner when i make an effort to fix my schedule. anyway, my plans for yesterday got screwed up. hay. but i tried not to think of it as a negative thing.

first, early dismissal from work! courtesy of our GM in HK. haha. and i didnt even know because they forgot to send me the memo! gravy. we were allowed to leave by 3pm. so that was why i was the only one not fooling around. anyway, i had a lot of catching up to do since i was trying to make a new system that would help me do my work more efficiently plus my scheduled appointments were not due til 6pm, so i stayed up to 5pm.

tin wanted to bring the car to greenbelt since she had a lot of stuff to drop off at her office. i was planning to maximize the parking fee at LKG but since she offered to pay for the parking, i agreed. boy, was she not kidding. i carried the laptop while she carried 3 heavy folders. good thing i parked near the elevators.

while driving to greenbelt, i texted my other friends who were going to the booksigning, since i was bringing the book they wanted to have signed. we were supposed to meet around 6 but since the booksigning and talk will start at 8, they decided it was too early. i then texted this other friend who i was planning to watch a movie with. he was still waiting for someone so he would also be late.

what to do? what to do?

i remembered my mom asking me to buy her a cook book and some pens for charlie. i had to squeeze my way into a SEA of people going to glorietta. that is right! it was not a stream but a sea of people! maybe because it was sale season add to that payday weekend thing. anyway, after elbowing my way through the crowd i was able to buy the pen but not the book.

checked my phone. no new messages. alright. i will just stay at powerbooks and read. new must read: Fabulous Girl's Guide to Proper Decorum.

tok tok tok! (that's the sound of my message alert) yipee! a message! uh, more bad news. kat doesn't have to stay til 10 since her thing got cancelled. bummer. she needs to be picked up by 9pm. now i can't even watch a movie because we'd have to leave by 830pm! talk about my string of bad luck. oh well.

at least i had dinner with my friend instead. and eventually met up with girlfriends to say hi and see how the booksigning thing has been doing (we'll be seeing each other today so no need to feel so bad about not spending not enough time with them).

btw, i saw really cute cardigans and jackets at landmark. too bad i wasn't on shopping mode since deadline of payment for my pension plan is drawing nearer. plus i haven't paid for my phone bill yet.
