chubadongs...here i come!

i was dreading this day...

for starters, i woke up late. i had to drag myself out of the bed. grumpy me! good thing my sisters were in a good mood which made my day much brighter!

i was the last one to leave the house. man, i am definitely going to be late. good thing the line for the shuttle service was moving faster than its usual snail's pace. i arrived at ayala ave at around 830am. i even saw my officemate walking towards our building. i told her to inform them that i was going to be late.

i headed towards the construction site to wait for a jeep going to the "munisipyo". the trip was not as long as i expected. it only took about 10 minutes to get there.

as i walked towards the massive structure, i couldn't help feeling a bit intimidated. what if i get lost? what if i feel a sudden urge to "download"? what if i get an anxiety attack because of claustrophobia?

waaah! i calmed myself down and entered the building. i asked where i should claim my license. the guard instructed me to go through the building and turn left when i get outside. alas! i found the Gusali ng Katarungan! i hope this building, rather the people inhabiting this building, gives justice to its name.

i entered and found two guards sitting at the opposite ends of the wooden table just past the entrance. i thought they were inspecting bags so i presented my bag for inspection. they looked at me in a weird way. i was puzzled. why is she hesitating? silly me! they are not your usual mall guards! it was actually the Information Desk! hahaha. to hide my embarrassment, i just asked where i should claim my license. they told me to go back outside and walk to the corner of the building and turn right, then walk straight up to the next corner.

i thanked the guards and left. just as i rounded the corner, 2 men came up to me and said, "ma'am matagal kayong pipila diyan..." to which i replied "ok lang. marami akong time." you know how it goes. (i absolutely hate people who ask other people for favors which they should be doing. cheaters! and these people should not make businesses out of the inefficiency of the system. but what can i do? people need money. oh well...)

when i reached the Claim Section, i was relieved. there were less than 20 people there. woohoo! i guess this wouldn't take too long. most of the people there were drivers. drivers as in professional drivers...driver ng jeep, taxi, bus, truck, etc. aside from me, there was only 1 woman in the crowd. gravy!

i asked for procedures to take to claim your license. you had to drop your OVR ticket at window 7 then wait for your name to be called. (i dont even know what OVR means and i find this procedure weird. why can't you just line up, wait and pay?)

it was quite weird to suddenly hear "manang, sago nga! ilagay nyo sa plastic kse hindi kasya sa bintana!" over the PA system. and suddenly manang appears from the carinderia across the street to deliver the goods. kakaiba! hahaha.

30 minutes went by, nobody has been called to the window. i wanted to scream! what the hell is wrong with these people?! there are only 20 people here and yet it is taking a lifetime for them to serve even just 1 person!

i couldn't even mind my own business since i have to protect myself from these maniacs who kept looking at my butt and sizing me up! please! wala na nga akong pwet eh. baka mabawasan pa kakatitig nyo. gravy! i had to position myself near the post to make sure that nobody is enjoying the "view" too much.

plus this pervert at window 1 kept looking at me from afar. i was praying that i be assigned to window 3 or 4 but no, i had to be assigned to window 2 and claim my license at window 1. just to keep me longer, the guy was purposely doing things slowly (as if i haven't noticed the change in his pace). and i hate it that he had the chance to look at my license (with all the important contact details) and the guts to ask me if it was my license. like duh! ayy hindi, sa ka-on ko yan! grabe! nakakainis!

i swear! never na akong papahuli ng buhay!

people of the Philippines, especially makati peeps, never drive in the streets of Makati if you have not memorized the one ways streets and all traffic regulations! super hassle talaga!

btw, this is the first and last time i brought a car to work.

  3. Blogging a milestone: My kid doesn't crawl yet
Wallie, my 11-month-old, doesn't crawl. She gets up on all fours, then her hands get going on the floor but her knees don't follow.
Bookmarked, nice to see some decent content for a change. FYI have you seen this we've got a new feature, the 'Flag blog' button, which is inconveniently located between the 'Get Your Own Blog' and 'Next Blog' buttons so that we would presumably be getting some flags on error alone (although if one happens to notice it, you can unflag a blog). I don't know about this, what one person finds offensive is anothers cup of tea? Just my 2 cents, Love Spell .
