the not so amazing race

spent the whole day yesterday volunteering at pathways.

during the morning session, i got a chance to listen to Mr. John Silva, fundraiser extraordinaire, briefing the students from different provinces of the Philippines on how to make their organizations financially viable. it was great! most of the things i have heard, affirmed that what i have been doing in my previous work were right.

during the afternoon session, we prepared for the amazing race. i didn't join the race. i was part of the 3rd pit stop which focused on stumping the groups with trivia questions. it was a long wait. my role was to check if they got the answers correctly. we waited for like an hour and a half before the first team arrived. it was funny because the teams were supposed to answer the trivia bingo-style (meaning: they should complete a line of boxes whether horizontal, vertical or diagonal) to get to the next stop. since most of them did not read the instructions well, the teams ended up answering all of the boxes!

although the task is quite boring, i had fun bonding with new friends! i'm really looking forward to our next activity.
