i scheduled this day as my pictorial day. hahaha. i don't have a decent picture to put on my resume so out of necessity, i have to be "glamorous" today. gandang ricky reyes kumbaga. i hurriedly took a shower to prep myself for the shoot. unfortunately, in the middle of my bathing ritual, the lights went out. i assumed that the bulb had already consumed its useful life. oh well, at least there was light coming from the window.
stepping into our room, i realized that we had no electricity. Waaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!! (the scene is reminiscent of Macaulay Culkin in Home Alone.) good thing i didn't drop my towel or else my sister could've had the scare of her life. hehehe.
optimism took over me. would this keep me away from my goal? the answer is a resounding NO. i assumed my fighting stance, a roller brush on one hand and a make-up brush on the other. so what if i have no hair blower?
i tried to remember everything that my beauty gurus/masters (kat, val, carmen and pj) have taught me since i would be doing this on my own. God help me.
start with a clean face.
moisturize.
apply concealer or foundation on those unwanted spots and scars.
put blush on both cheeks for that rosy glow.
apply a little eye shadow here and there.
pluck stray hairs from the eyebrow.
curl those lashes.
apply shimmery eye shadow to the corner of the eyes for that wide-eyed look.
apply concealer or light foundation on the nose for a "matangos na ilong" effect.
presto! instant beauty queen! i'm now ready for that photo shoot.
i also prepared several "costumes" for the shoot. this is going to be soo exciting! i used our cabinet as a backdrop since is was white. very useful for passport pictures. Ü
everything went pretty well except that i couldn't figure out what exactly was my best angle. i guess i'll just have to make do with what i've got. evidences are published below. i've already used one for my resume which i will be bringing tomorrow during my interview. if luck is on my side, i will be the next teen idol...joke joke joke! hehehe.
